Akdeniz Shipyard was established in 2007, in the southern part of Turkey by Ceyhan-Yumurtalık region. Having a total area of 120.000 m² the shipyard aims for the shipbuilding, repair & maintenance services.
Within the private sector, Akdeniz Shipyard holds the distinction of being the largest shipyard of Turkey and Eastern Mediterranean in terms of area and capacity.
Sailing before the wind of Akbaşoğlu Group’s 50 years of effort and experience in shipping, Akdeniz Shipyard has set sail in the direction of leadership in shipbuilding sector throughout the region.

Message from the Board
Akdeniz Shipyard was established in 2007 in Ceyhan-Yumurtalık, in the southern part of Turkey, to meet the region’s growing need for reliable shipbuilding, repair and maintenance capacity. What began as a clear purpose has grown, over the years, into a shipyard built on the same principles we started with: engineering discipline, safety, and respect for our clients’ time and trust.
We carry forward Akbaşoğlu Group’s fifty years of experience in shipping, and it continues to shape how we work today. As we look ahead, our focus remains on strengthening our facilities, developing our people, and building the partnerships that will define the next chapter of our industry’s growth in the region.
